International play

Rahimi has played for Sweden in two World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, World Junior Championships. He made his debut at the 2006 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, 2006 World Junior Championships in British Columbia, tallying two points in five games as Sweden finished the tournament in fifth place. At the 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, 2007 World Junior Championships the following year, in his home country, Sweden finished in fourth as the host country. Rahimi did not register a point during the tournament. He won a bronze medal with the Swedish national team at the 2014 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships, 2014 IIHF World Championships.


Personal life

Daniel Rahimi was born in Umeå, Sweden, Umeå, Sweden, to an Iranian father and a Swedish mother. He grew up a fan of countryman Mattias Öhlund.
