The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) awarded Reddy the Master Endoscopist Award in 2009. This is the highest award in the field of endoscopy in the world and is also termed as the "Nobel Prize of Endoscopy".in the world. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2016. In 2002 he was awarded by Padma Shri, which is one of the Highest Civilian awards given by the Government of India.
