Cherry Township is a township in St. Louis County, Minnesota, Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 860 at the 2010 census. State Highway 37 (Minnesota State Highway 37, MN 37) serves as a main route in the township. Other routes include Saint Louis County Roads County roads in St. Louis County, Minnesota#25, 25 and County roads in St. Louis County, Minnesota#92, 92. The unincorporated community of Cherry, Minnesota, Cherry is located within Cherry Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of ; is land and , or 1.70%, is water. The West Two River flows through the eastern portion of Cherry Township.

As of the census of 2000, there were 915 people, 339 households, and 258 families living in the township. The population density was . There were 364 housing units at an average density of . The racial makeup of the township was 99.02% White (U.S. Census), White, 0.55% Native American (U.S. Census), Native American, 0.11% Asian (U.S. Census), Asian, and 0.33% from two or more races. Hispanic (U.S. Census), Hispanic or Latino (U.S. Census), Latino of any race were 0.11% of the population. There were 339 households, out of which 36.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.1% were Marriage, married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% were non-families. 21.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.13. In the township the population was spread out, with 27.3% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 9.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 116.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.8 males.
