On 1 December 2012, the original version of Boomerang was shut down and replaced by Toonami Asia, while a separate Cartoonito channel launched on the same date. That channel would close on 1 January 2015, with Boomerang relaunched as part of the 2015 global rebrand. Toonami Asia shut down in March 2018, and with it the channel space held by the 2005–12 version of Boomerang. As part of Cartoonito's 2021 relaunch, the brand returned to Asia as a block on Cartoon Network and Boomerang in March and May 2022 respectively; the block shifted to Boomerang full-time in November. On 28 June 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Cartoonito would once again become its own channel, and the switchover from Boomerang took place on July 28.

India

In India, Boomerang was able to be viewed via DishTV India. The Indian feed ceased broadcasting on 2 March 2009 along with Turner Classic Movies Asia.
