Bomborokui or Bomborokuy is a Departments of Burkina Faso, department or commune of Kossi Province in western Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Bomborokui. According to the 1996 census the department has a total population of 13,298.Burkinabé government inforoute communale
The primary ethnic group of Bomborokuy are the Bwaba people. Their language is Bwamu. However, most people in Bomborokuy also speak the common regional trade language of Dyula language, Jula. In Bwamu, the name "Bomborokuy" is pronounced "Boh-we" and means "village of the dog."
