At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 3,779 and had 817 houses in it. Many ethnic groups of people lives in Baad Bhanjyang such as Brahmin, Chhetri, Lama, Gurung, Magar, Rai, Limbu and so on. It is the main border of Dhading and Kathmandu. The oldest and longest highway called Prithivi Highway which connects Kathmandu and Major cities of Nepal pass through Kathmandu. it is the last stop for people who is leaving kathmandu and First stop for people entering Kathmandu.
