Welshpool Airport ( cy, Maes Awyr y Trawllng; also known as ''Mid-Wales Airport'') is located south of Welshpool, Powys, Wales. It has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P865) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Mid Wales Airport Limited). Welshpool
Welshpool ( cy, Y Trallwng) is a market town and community in Powys, Wales, historically in the county of Montgomeryshire. The town is from the Wales–England border and low-lying on the River Severn; its Welsh language name ''Y Trallwng'' means "the marshy or sinking land". The community includes Cloddiau and Pool Quay. In English it was initially known as Pool but its name was changed to Welshpool in 1835 to distinguish it from the English town of Poole. Wales Air Ambulance
The Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust ( cy, Ymddiriedolaeth Elusennol Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru), known as Wales Air Ambulance Charity (WAAC) or ( cy, Elusen Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru (EAAC)), is a charity air ambulance service providing a free, life-saving helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured in Wales.
