The Ridgeway is a suburb just outside of Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. People commonly mistake it for being a part of Queanbeyan, but it is part of the Queanbeyan-Palerang region, not the city of Queanbeyan. Queanbeyan ( ) is a city in the south-eastern region of New South Wales, Australia, located adjacent to the Australian Capital Territory in the Southern Tablelands region. Kings Highway (Australia)
Kings Highway is an interstate highway located within the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, Australia. The highway connects Canberra with Batemans Bay on the South Coast. It is designated route B52. Route West to east, it starts at the interchange with Monaro Highway, Canberra Avenue and Ipswich Street on the northern border of Symonston in the Australian Capital Territory and continues in a westerly direction along Canberra Avenue, crosses over the border into New South Wales near Queanbeyan, passes through Queanbeyan itself, Carwoola, briefly crosses back into the Kowen district of ACT and then back into NSW heading south-east to Batemans Bay via Bungendore, Braidwood and Nelligen. The Majura District is a district of Canberra, with a population of 161 at the , excluding the suburb of Pialligo, which lies to the south of Canberra Airport. Apart from Pialligo, Majura District includes Canberra Airport and some farming but little residential development. Queanbeyan East is a suburb of Queanbeyan in New South Wales, Australia. It is on the north eastern side of the Queanbeyan River, with the river forming its western boundary. At the , it had a population of 4,240. Geography The suburb is a mixed residential and industrial zone, incorporating Queanbeyan's (and one of the region's largest) manufacturing and general industrial hubs along the eastern length of Yass Road.
