The Chart Pattana Party ( th, พรรคชาติพัฒนา, en, National Development Party) is a Thailand, Thai list of political parties in Thailand, political party. In 2007 Thai general election, the chairman of the party is Wannarat Channukul. His brother-in-law, the party's "chief advisor" Suwat Liptapanlop is however considered its ''de facto'' leader. It was founded under the name of ''Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana'' ("Thais United National Development Party") as a merger of Thais United and the former National Development Party (Thailand), National Development Party in September 2007. In the 2007 Thai general election, the party received enough votes to gain eight out of 480 seats in the House of Representatives of Thailand. After 2008, the party was a member of the six-party Cabinet of Thailand, coalition government led by the Democrat Party (Thailand), Democrat Party's leader, Prime Minister of Thailand, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. Tewan Liptapallop ( th, เทวัญ ลิปตพัลลภ; born 29 December 1959) is a Thai politician. He served from 10 July 2019 to 20 July 2020 as Office of the Prime Minister (Thailand), Prime Minister's Office Minister in the Second Prayut cabinet, second cabinet of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. Early life and education Tewan Liptapanlop was born on December 29, 1959. He was the younger brother of Suwat Liptapanlop. Tewan graduation Bachelor of Laws from Chulalongkorn University. Political careers Tewan entered politics by being elected a member of the House of Representatives for the first time in March 1992 under the Justice Unity Party and has been elected for a total of 3 times. In 2007, he was disqualified from politics for five years for serving as a member of the executive committee of the Thai Rak Thai Party.
