Angela Nicole Walker (born January 19, 1974) is an American activist, professional driver, and labor organizer. Walker was the vice-presidential nominee of the Green Party of the United States and Socialist Party USA for the 2020 election alongside presidential nominee Howie Hawkins. She was previously the vice-presidential nominee of the Socialist Party USA for the 2016 election alongside presidential nominee Mimi Soltysik. Walker ran for political office for the first time in 2014 as an independent socialist for sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Walker describes herself as a socialist in the tradition of Fred Hampton and Assata Shakur. Early life Angela Walker was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she lived primarily in the inner city Northside neighborhood. Walker graduated from Bay View High School. Angela Gaye Walker (married name Subramaniam; born 19 March 1967) is a New Zealand writer and former rhythmic gymnast. She won a gold medal and three bronze medals representing her country at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. Early life and family Walker was born in Auckland on 19 March 1967. Her father, Ian Walker, served in the Royal Air Force and Bomber Command during World War II and was a prisoner of war. Rhythmic gymnastics Walker competed for New Zealand in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around competition at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. There she tied for 32nd place in the preliminary (qualification) round and did not advance to the final. Angela Walker (born December 18, 1960) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. Walker, who grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, competed on the professional tour in the early 1980s. As a singles player her best performance on the WTA Tour was a quarter-final appearance at Japan's Borden Classic in 1982. She played in the women's doubles main draws of the 1981 US Open and 1983 French Open The 1983 French Open was a tennis tournament that took place on the outdoor clay courts at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. The tournament ran from 23 May until 5 June. It was the 82nd staging of the French Open, and the first Grand Slam .... From 1981 to 1983, Walker played six Federation Cup ties for Canada.
