''To New Shores'' (german: Zu neuen Ufern) is a 1937 German drama film directed by Detlef Sierck (later known as Douglas Sirk) and starring Zarah Leander, Willy Birgel and Viktor Staal. It was Leander's first film for the German studio UFA, and its success brought her into the front rank of the company's stars.Ascheid p. 177 It was shot at the Babelsberg Studio in Berlin. Zarah Leander
Zarah Leander (; 15 March 1907 – 23 June 1981) was a Swedish singer and actress whose greatest success was in Germany between 1936 and 1943, when she was contracted to work for the state-owned Universum Film AG (UFA). Although no exact record sales numbers exist, she was probably among Europe's best-selling recording artists in the years prior to 1945. Her involvement with UFA caused her films and lyrics to be identified as Nazi propaganda. Though she had taken no public political position and was dubbed an "Enemy of Germany" by Joseph Goebbels, she remained a controversial figure for the rest of her life. Robert Dorsay
Robert Dorsay (16 August 1904 – 29 October 1943) was a German actor, dancer, and singer who was executed in October 1943 for defeatism and defamation of National Socialism. Life The only son of the opera singer Paul Stampa and the soprano Dora Stampa, née Weiss, spent his childhood and youth in Bremen, Würzburg, Kissingen and finally in Berlin. He began his stage career in Austria and moved to Munich in 1927. Dora Weiss wore the stage name Dorsay, which her son later adopted. Robert Stampa appeared on stage for the first time in the late 1920s. Hilde Von Stolz
Hilde von Stolz (8 July 1903 in Segesvár, Nagy-Küküllő County, Austria-Hungary, now Romania – 16 December 1973 in Berlin) was an Austrian-German actress. Von Stolz attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and made her debut at the local Kammerspielen. She subsequently performed at various theaters in Vienna and in the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin. She made her debut in film in 1928 under the pseudonym "Helen Steels". The Government House is the heritage-listed vice-regal residence of the governor of New South Wales, Australia, located on Conservatorium Road in the Sydney central business district adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden, overlooking Sydney Harbour, just south of the Sydney Opera House.
