Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station
Zhongxiao Xinsheng (, formerly transliterated as Chunghsiao Hsinsheng Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by the Taipei Metro. Station overview The station is a three-level, underground station with two island platforms and seven exits. It is located at the intersection of Zhongxiao East Road and Xinsheng South Road, hence the name of the station. Because space was reserved for the Xinzhuang line (B3) during construction of the Nangang line (B2), there is a direct transfer between the two lines using the pathway between B2 and B3. Construction The Xinzhuang Line station is 317.6 meters long, 16.5-32.65 meters wide, and 25.5 meters deep. Daan District (or Da-an District, Da'an, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency District) is an important educational, commercial, residential and cultural district of Taipei City, Republic of China (Taiwan). The name of the district means "great safety" or "great peace". The Taipei Qin Hall () is a former residence in Qidong Street, Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. Qidong Street Japanese Houses () is located in the Zhongzheng District of Taipei, Taiwan. During the Qing Dynasty, Qidong Street was a major lane for transporting rice from the Taipei basin to harbours along the river. Prior to the construction of the Taipei City Walls in 1884, one could travel from Bangkah (today's Wanhua District) past the East Gate area and along Qidong Street which joined Bade Road, leading to modern-day Songshan, Nangang, and eventually Keelung. The history of Qidong spans the Qing era, the Japanese era, and contemporary times. The group of dwellings, located in the center of a modern-day residential district for city officials, housed Japanese civil servants and later provided housing for Republic of China central government figures. The Li Kwoh-ting's Residence () is a former house of Li Kwoh-ting in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. History Li moved to the house in 1972 after he was appointed Minister of Finance by President Chiang Kai-shek in 1969. He lived in the house until his death on 31 May 2001. The Huashan 1914 Creative Park () is a multi-purpose park in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. History Empire of Japan What is now Huashan 1914 Creative Park opened in 1914 as Taihoku Winery during Japanese rule. It was privately owned winery that produced sake and ginseng wines, and bred moth orchids. In 1922, the government included wine within a list of monopoly items.
