Yoshiaki Kawajiri
is a writer and director of Japanese animation. He is the creator of titles such as '' Wicked City'', '' Ninja Scroll'', and '' Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust''. Biography Kawajiri was born on November 18, 1950 and grew up in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. After he graduated from high school in 1968, he worked as an animator at Mushi Production Animation until it closed in 1972. He then joined Madhouse as one of the four co-founders, and in the 1970s was promoted to animation director. Yoshiaki Hoshi
, born in Wakayanagi, Miyagi, Japan, was a Japanese musician best known for his band Himekami. Hoshi won the 1971 Victor Electronic Music Contest, and founded Himekami Sensation in 1980. His debut album was ''Oku no Hosomichi'', released in 1981. In 1984, the group name was changed to Himekami. Hoshi was known for being very friendly with his fans, and thanking them for purchasing his works. The music was basically electronic, new-age with sounds of nature and elements of traditional Japanese music. Hoshi died of a heart attack on October 1, 2004, at 1:21am. Katō Yoshiaki
was a Japanese ''daimyō'' of the late Sengoku period to early Edo period who served as lord of the Aizu Domain. A retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, he fought in the battle of Shizugatake in 1583, and soon became known as one of the ''shichi-hon-yari'' (七本槍), or Seven Spears of Shizugatake, Yoshiaki was one of Hideyoshi's seven most trusted and experienced generals. He was involved in the bitter naval battles at Siege of Shimoda in the Odawara Campaign (1590) and fought off the coast of southern Korean peninsula during the 1st and 2nd Korean Campaign, many of which went in favor of the Korean navy. After Hideyoshi's death in 1598, Katō fought alongside Tokugawa Ieyasu. Following the important victory at Sekigahara in 1600, Tokugawa doubled Katō's fief from 100,000 ''koku'' to 200,000. was a Japanese physicist. Arata was one of the pioneering researchers into nuclear fusion in Japan and a former professor at Osaka University. He was reported to be a strong nationalist, speaking only Japanese in public. He received the Order of Culture in 2006.
