William D. (Bill) Murray
William D. Murray retired from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in March 2005, after a career of 40 years of military and civilian government service. During his 36 years with CIA, Murray rose from entry level to the highest levels of the Senior Executive Service and managed field operations in a number of overseas locations, frequently in times of war and civil strife. He also managed several different Washington based units at varying times and at increasing levels of complexity. The main thrust of his career was in the Middle East but he also served as the organization's field manager for operations in the Balkans and later as the senior officer commanding one of the largest and most important offices in Paris. Murray was an outspoken critic within the CIA of the intelligence used by the Bush Administration to justify the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In the final stages of his active service he was seconded to the U.S. Senate to assist in creating the Intelligence Reform and Terro ...

Central Intelligence Agency
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA ), known informally as the Agency and historically as the Company, is a civilian foreign intelligence service of the federal government of the United States, officially tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the world, primarily through the use of human intelligence (HUMINT) and performing covert actions. As a principal member of the United States Intelligence Community (IC), the CIA reports to the Director of National Intelligence and is primarily focused on providing intelligence for the President and Cabinet of the United States. President Harry S. Truman had created the Central Intelligence Group under the direction of a Director of Central Intelligence by presidential directive on January 22, 1946, and this group was transformed into the Central Intelligence Agency by implementation of the National Security Act of 1947. Unlike the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which ...

The 2003 invasion of Iraq was a United States-led invasion of the Republic of Iraq and the first stage of the Iraq War. The invasion phase began on 19 March 2003 (air) and 20 March 2003 (ground) and lasted just over one month, including 26 days of major combat operations, in which a combined force of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Poland invaded Iraq. Twenty-two days after the first day of the invasion, the capital city of Baghdad was captured by Coalition forces on 9 April 2003 after the six-day-long Battle of Baghdad. This early stage of the war formally ended on 1 May 2003 when U.S. President George W. Bush declared the "end of major combat operations" in his Mission Accomplished speech, after which the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) was established as the first of several successive transitional governments leading up to the first January 2005 Iraqi parliamentary election, Iraqi parliamentary election in January 2005. Intelligence Reform And Terrorism Prevention Act
The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (IRTPA) is a 235-page Act of Congress, signed by President George W. Bush, that broadly affects United States federal terrorism laws. The act comprises several separate titles with varying subject issues. It was enacted in response to the terror attacks of September 11, 2001." Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004." Tyler Drumheller
Tyler Scott Drumheller (April 12, 1952 – August 2, 2015) was an American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer who served as chief of the European division for clandestine operations in the Directorate of Operations from 2001 until he retired in 2005. Early life Drumheller was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Career Drumheller claimed the CIA had credible sources discounting some weapon of mass destruction (WMD) claims made during the Iraq disarmament crisis before the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. He received and discounted documents central to the Niger yellowcake forgery prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He has also stated that senior White House officials dismissed intelligence information from his agency which reported Saddam Hussein had no WMD program. According to Drumheller the Bush administration ignored CIA advice and used whatever information it could find to justify an invasion of Iraq. The CIA, brokered by the French intelligence service, recruited Iraqi Foreig ...

People Of The Central Intelligence Agency
A person ( : people) is a being that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility. The defining features of personhood and, consequently, what makes a person count as a person, differ widely among cultures and contexts. In addition to the question of personhood, of what makes a being count as a person to begin with, there are further questions about personal identity and self: both about what makes any particular person that particular person instead of another, and about what makes a person at one time the same person as they were or will be at another time despite any intervening changes. The plural form "people" is often used to refer to an entire nation or ethnic group (as in "a people"), and this was the original meaning of the word; it subsequently acquired its use as a plural form of ...
