Victoire Thivisol (born 6 July 1991) is a French film actress. She first gained acclaim for her role as a child coping with her mother's death in the 1996 film ''Ponette'', becoming the youngest actress to win the Volpi Cup Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival. She later went on to star in '' Children of the Century'' and '' Chocolat'' (2000), both as the daughter of Juliette Binoche Juliette Binoche (; born 9 March 1964) is a French actress and dancer. She has appeared in more than sixty feature films and has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Silver Bear, .... ''Ponette'' is a 1996 French film directed by Jacques Doillon. The film centers on four-year-old Ponette (Victoire Thivisol), who is coming to terms with the death of her mother in a car crash.
