Paolo Uccello ( , ; 1397 – 10 December 1475), born Paolo di Dono, was an Italians, Italian (Florentine) Florentine painting, painter and mathematician who was notable for his pioneering work on visual Perspective (graphical), perspective in art. In his book ''Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects'', Giorgio Vasari wrote that Uccello was obsessed by his interest in perspective and would stay up all night in his study trying to grasp the exact vanishing point. While his contemporaries used perspective to narrate different or succeeding stories, Uccello used perspective to create a feeling of depth in his paintings. Luca Uccello
Luca Uccello (born June 17, 1997) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays college soccer for Humber College. Career Club Toronto FC II Uccello joined TFC Academy in 2011, and played in the Second Division of the Canadian Soccer League. In 2013, Luca won the Golden Boot at the U15 Generation Adidas Cup with a total of 5 goals as TFC Academy finished runners up against Chivas USA. Uccello would then feature as part of the academy's senior team during the inaugural season of League1 Ontario in 2014. He scored eight goals and won player of the week honours during week 11 of the campaign, as TFC Academy captured the regular season championship. Uccello signed his first professional contract with Toronto FC's USL affiliate, Toronto FC II on March 12, 2015. He made his debut against the Charleston Battery on March 21. Julian Paolo Uccello (born October 30, 1986) is a Canadian soccer player. Career Youth From the age of 5 to 15, Julian had played with youth clubs in Ontario, including Richmond Hill Soccer Club, Thornhill Soccer Club, Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club and Woodbridge Soccer Club, before moving overseas. Julian secured a trial with Manchester United for six months, playing a league game with the U-17 team, scoring a goal in his only game for the club. Julian then went on to trial with the Bolton Wanderers of the Premier League a year later. Following these trials in England, Uccello found a home to continue his footballing development in Italy, first being brought over by Lazio, but in the end signing on with A.C. Milan. Antonina Uccello
Antonina P. Uccello (born May 19, 1922) is an American politician, born in Hartford, Connecticut, to parents who had emigrated from Sicily. Political career When she was elected the mayor of Hartford, in 1967, she became also the first woman mayor in Connecticut. At the time, Uccello was an executive in the Hartford department store G. Fox & Co. She approached her boss in 1963 and said she would like to run for the Hartford city council. Since the council met on Mondays, a day the department store was closed, her boss gave her permission to run. She served two terms on the council before being elected mayor in 1967. She ran as a Republican in a mainly Democratic Party city, and remains the city's last Republican mayor to date.
