TRSC
Taiwan Rolling Stock Company (TRSC) is a rail vehicle company. TRSC is located in Hukou, Hsinchu County, near Xinfeng railway station. It was previously a rolling stock production division of Tang Eng Iron Works before 2002. After privatization, the company received several orders from Taiwan Railways Administration and also Kawasaki Heavy Industries. For example, some vehicles (type C371, C381) of the Taipei Metro system were built by TRSC. TRSC cooperated with Nippon Sharyo in several products, such as DHL100, Alishan Forest locomotive, EMU700, EMU800. There was a dispute regarding the EMU800 at its beginning stage. The brake system differed from specifications because the supplier made a mistake on the type of brake system. After the dispute was solved, the TRSC started to deliver EMU800 trains to the Taiwan Railways Administration. Taoyuan Metro 1000 Series
The Taoyuan Metro 1000 series, also referred to as Commuter Trains, are the electric multiple unit train types that are used for the all-stop Commuter services on the Taoyuan Airport MRT. History In 2006, a consortium consisting of Marubeni Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Hitachi was awarded a contract from the Bureau of High Speed Rail (BOHSR, now part of the Railway Bureau) of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) of Taiwan to supply the systems and build the depots for the Taoyuan Airport MRT project. Under the contract, Marubeni was in charge of overall project coordination, signalling communications and trackwork; Kawasaki responsible for rolling stock; and Hitachi for transformers. Taipei Metro C371
The Taipei Metro C371 is the fourth generation of heavy-capacity rolling stock used on the Taipei Metro in Taipei, Taiwan. Built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Taiwan Rolling Stock Company between 2005 and 2009, it was introduced on the Xindian and Zhonghe Lines in 2006 and on the Xinbeitou and Xiaobitan branch lines in 2007. History In 2003, the Department of Rapid Transit Systems (DORTS) of Taipei ordered 321 subway cars from Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Taipei Metro C381
The Taipei Metro C381 is the fifth and the latest generation of heavy-capacity electric multiple units on the Taipei Metro in Taipei, Taiwan. They are designed to increase the capacity of the expanded network with the opening of the Xinyi and Songshan lines. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), commonly known as the Airport MRT, is a rapid transit line of Taoyuan Metro that connects the municipalities of Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan with Taoyuan International Airport. EMU1200 Series
The EMU1200 series is a series of electric multiple unit passenger trains operated by Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). The train was originally known as the EMU200 series until all of its cars were refurbished between 2002 and 2004. It is one of the trains that are used for the ''Tze-Chiang Limited Express''. History In 1978, the TRA introduced the ''Tze-Chiang'' class of trains with the EMU100 series running on newly-electrified tracks between Taipei and Taichung.
