Toyota MR2
The Toyota MR2 is a line of two-seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive sports cars manufactured in Japan and marketed globally by Toyota from 1984 until 2007 over three generations: W10 (1984–1989), W20 (1989–1999) and W30 (2000–2007). Nobuhide Tachi
is a former Japanese racing driver, and the co-founder of TOM'S, a Japanese racing team and tuner for Toyota and Lexus. His son, Shingo was also a racing driver. Career Racing career Tachi was born in Suzuka, Japan. Kenji Mimura, the founder of Maki, has been his friend since their high school years. Originally, Tachi did not like automobiles because he would become carsick. But the influence of his friend led him to automobile racing. Tachi began car racing in 1965 and became a factory-driver for Toyota from 1971. In 1974, Tachi founded TOM'S with ex-Toyota dealer, Kiyoshi Oiwa. Pedro Martínez de la Rosa (; born 24 February 1971) is a Spanish former Formula One driver who has participated in 107 Grands Prix for the Arrows, Jaguar, McLaren, Sauber and HRT teams.
