Kolmogorov Space
In topology and related branches of mathematics, a topological space ''X'' is a T0 space or Kolmogorov space (named after Andrey Kolmogorov) if for every pair of distinct points of ''X'', at least one of them has a neighborhood not containing the other. In a T0 space, all points are topologically distinguishable. This condition, called the T0 condition, is the weakest of the separation axioms. Nearly all topological spaces normally studied in mathematics are T0 spaces. In particular, all T1 spaces, i.e., all spaces in which for every pair of distinct points, each has a neighborhood not containing the other, are T0 spaces. This includes all T2 (or Hausdorff) spaces, i.e., all topological spaces in which distinct points have disjoint neighbourhoods. In another direction, every sober space (which may not be T1) is T0; this includes the underlying topological space of any scheme. Given any topological space one can construct a T0 space by identifying topologically indistinguisha ...

TORRO Scale
The TORRO tornado intensity scale (or T-Scale) is a scale measuring tornado intensity between T0 and T11. It was proposed by Terence Meaden of the Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO), a meteorological organisation in the United Kingdom, as an extension of the Beaufort scale. History and derivation from Beaufort scale The scale was tested from 1972 to 1975 and was made public at a meeting of the Royal Meteorological Society in 1975. The scale sets T0 as the equivalent of 8 on the Beaufort scale and is related to the Beaufort scale (B), up to 12 on the Beaufort scale, by the formula: : ''B'' = 2 (''T'' + 4) and conversely: : ''T'' = ''B''/2 - 4 The Beaufort scale was first introduced in 1805, and in 1921 quantified. It expresses the wind speed as faster than v in the formula: : v = 0.837 ''B''3/2 m/s TORRO scale formula Most UK tornadoes are T6 or below with the strongest known UK tornado estimated as a T9 (the 1666 Lincolnshire tornado). For comparison, th ...

Launch Countdown
A countdown is a sequence of backward counting to indicate the time remaining before an event is scheduled to occur. NASA commonly employs the terms "L-minus" and "T-minus" during the preparation for and anticipation of a rocket launch, and even "E-minus" for events that involve spacecraft that are already in space, where the "T" could stand for "Test" or "Time", and the "E" stands for "Encounter", as with a comet or some other space object, like a spacecraft. Other events for which countdowns are commonly used include the detonation of an explosive, the start of a race, the start of the New Year, or any anxiously anticipated event. An early use of a countdown once signaled the start of a Cambridge University rowing race. One of the first known associations with rockets was in the 1929 German science fiction movie ''Frau im Mond'' (English: ''Woman in the Moon'') written by Thea von Harbou and directed by Fritz Lang in an attempt to increase the drama of the launch sequence o ...

Avianca Perú
Avianca Perú S.A. (formerly TACA Perú) was an airline based in Lima, Peru. It operated domestic services and international services. Its main base was Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima. The airline operated out of 18 airports. It was part of the Synergy Group and operated its flights with TACA Airlines' codes. Through Synergy Group, it was one of the seven nationally branded airlines ( Avianca Ecuador, Avianca Costa Rica, etc.) in the Avianca Holdings group of Latin American airlines. The airline ceased all operations on May 10, 2020. History The airline was established in 1999 by Daniel Ratti and Ernesto Mahle as ''TransAm'' and started operations in July 1999. It was then rebranded into TACA Perú when Grupo TACA established a holding in the airline. In 2004, a crisis arose in the aviation industry in Peru, caused by the cessation of operations of Aero Continente, the main operator of internal flights. During this period, TACA Perú made some flights to the city ...

HMNZS Wakakura (T00)
HMNZS ''Wakakura'' (T00) was originally a First World War naval trawler built in Canada. Ordered by the Admiralty, the vessel, named ''TR 1'', was loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy for use on the East Coast of Canada. She was purchased by New Zealand in 1926 and transferred to the Royal New Zealand Navy when it was established in 1941. She displaced 530 tons standard, could manage and was equipped with a gun during World War II. ''Wakakura'' is a Māori word which means "precious canoe" or "training boat" World War II ''Wakakura'' remained in commission throughout the Second World War World War II or the Second World War (1 September 1939 – 2 September 1945) was a World war, global conflict between two coalitions: the Allies of World War II, Allies and the Axis powers. Same-day Affirmation
In securities trading, same-day affirmation (SDA) also known as T0 refers to completing the entire trade verification process on the same day that the actual trade took place, and was invented in the early '90s by James Karat, the inventor of straight-through processing, in London. Trade verification is carried out on the institutional side of the market between the investment manager and the broker/dealer. This process ensures that the parties are in agreement about the essential trade details. The three key steps in the verification process that Karat created are: # Notice of execution by the broker/dealer. “CONFIRMATION” # Affirmation or Rejection by the client of the transaction details. “AFFIRMATION” or "REJECTION" # Transmission of allocation details by the investment manager (the splits). “ALLOCATION” The trade verification process concludes when the affirmation/allocation has been completed and then the clearing and settlement process begins, which also involve ...

Non-small Cell Lung Carcinoma Staging
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), or non-small-cell lung carcinoma, is any type of epithelial lung cancer other than small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). NSCLC accounts for about 85% of all lung cancers. As a class, NSCLCs are relatively insensitive to chemotherapy, compared to small-cell carcinoma. When possible, they are primarily treated by surgical resection with curative intent, although chemotherapy has been used increasingly both preoperatively (neoadjuvant chemotherapy) and postoperatively (adjuvant chemotherapy). Types The most common types of NSCLC are squamous-cell carcinoma, large-cell carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma, but several other types occur less frequently. A few of the less common types are pleomorphic, carcinoid tumor, salivary gland carcinoma, and unclassified carcinoma. All types can occur in unusual histologic variants and as mixed cell-type combinations. Non-squamous-cell carcinoma almost occupies the half of NSCLC. In the tissue classification, the central t ...

Tzero
The tZero (a mathematical symbol meaning, 'time from a standing start in sequence') is a hand-built electric sports car designed and built in very limited numbers by the U.S. pioneering company AC Propulsion in the mid 1990's. It was the inspiration and direct predecessor of the Tesla line of electric cars. The only part of the tZero that was not proprietary was the body that was based on the Piontek Sportech sports car, yet many parts of the body and interior were extensively modified. It consists of a Kevlar & Carbon Fiber reinforced body built over a custom hand-built reinforced stainless steel fabricated to package batteries space frame with double wishbone independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. AC Propulsion utilized their AC-150 drivetrain, a single-speed electric system with an overall gear ratio of 9:1. Experimental mule in early 90's, a complete vehicle the following year and launched in January 1996, only 3 prototypes were built, the last one also being ...
