Tây Ninh
Tây Ninh () is a provincial city in south-eastern Vietnam. It is the capital of Tây Ninh Province, which encompasses the town and much of the surrounding farmland. Tây Ninh is approximately to the northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city. As of 2019, the city had a population of 135,254 over the provincial population of 1,169,165, and a total area of . Tourist attractions The city is known for being the home of the Cao Đài religion, a syncretic Vietnamese faith that includes the teachings of the major world religions. The Cao Đài religion's Holy See, built between 1933 and 1955, is located around to the east of Tây Ninh's city centre. Provincial city ( vi, Thành phố thuộc tỉnh), commonly known as City, a type of second tier subdivision of Vietnam is divided into 713 units along with urban district, district, municipal city, and town have equal status. Also by virtue of Decree No. 42/2009/ND-CP, city are officially classified into Class-1, Class-2 or Class-3. The cities can only subordinate to Province as the Second Tier unit.
