''Swaroopa (Metamorphosis)'' ( si, ස්වරූප) is a 2017 Sri Lankan Sinhala drama film directed by Dharmasena Pathiraja and co-produced by Dharmasena Pahtiraja himself with Mohan Mabotuwana. It stars W. Jayasiri and Nita Fernando in lead roles along with Thusitha Laknath and Lakshman Mendis. Music composed by Nadeeka Guruge. Newcomer Reeni de Silva debuted in the Sinhala cinema with the film. It is the 1285th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. Though the film scheduled to premier on 8 September 2017 in Rithma circuit theatres, it was delayed to 29 September 2017. The film received positive reviews from critics. Daya Thennakoon
Daya Bandara Tennakoon (born 29 November 1941 – died 17 April 2020 as දයා තෙන්නකෝන්) inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. Personal life He was born on 29 November 1941 in the small village Galabadawatta, in Rangala, Kandy. He started primary education from Galabadawatta Primary School and then completed secondary education from Dharmaraja College, Kandy. His father was a tea estate keeper. After school times, he was selected to the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya and graduated with an arts degree. He was married to fellow actress Grace Ariyavwimal. He met Grace during the 1965 stage play ''Manaranjana Wedawarjana'' produced by Henry Jayasena. Thennakoon died on 17 April 2020 at the age of 78 while receiving treatments at Apeksha Cancer Hospital, Maharagama. Balapaduwaduge Manukulasuriya Lakshman Mendis (born 19 May 1955: si, ලක්ෂ්මන් මෙන්ඩිස්), popularly as Lakshman Mendis, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television. Personal life He was born on 19 May 1955 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. His father Reggie Mendis was a former member of the Central Committee of the Lanka Sama Samaja Party (LSSP). Born in Moratuwa, Reggie was a church clerk as a child. Pathiraja Navaratne Wanninayake Mudiyanselage Ranjith Dharmasena (28 March 1943 – 28 January 2018) was a Sri Lankan film director and screenwriter.
