Robert Lang Studios
Robert Lang Studios is a recording studio in Shoreline, Washington, United States. Numerous bands have recorded at Robert Lang Studios since 1974 including Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, The Blood Brothers, Candlebox, and Bush. In late January 1994, Nirvana recorded their last known studio recording at Robert Lang Studios. It was at this session that "You Know You're Right" was recorded. In October of the same year, Dave Grohl, formerly of Nirvana, recorded Foo Fighters' self-titled debut album. Later, the Foo Fighters returned to the studio in 2014 to record "Subterranean" and showcased the song in the penultimate episode of their 2014 HBO rockumentary mini-series '' Foo Fighters Sonic Highways''. Shoreline, Washington
Shoreline is a city in King County, Washington, United States. It is located between the city limits of Seattle and the Snohomish County border, approximately north of Downtown Seattle. As of the 2020 census, the population of Shoreline was 58,608, making it the 22nd largest city in the state. Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Shoreline ranks 91st of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked. History Shoreline began in 1890 with the platting of the neighborhood of Richmond Beach, on Puget Sound, in anticipation of the arrival of the Great Northern Railway the next year. Heart (band)
Heart is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Seattle, Washington, as The Army. Two years later they changed their name to Hocus Pocus. The year following they changed their name to White Heart, and eventually changed the name a final time to Heart, in 1973. By the mid-1970s, original members Roger Fisher (guitar) and Steve Fossen (bass guitar) had been joined by sisters Ann Wilson (lead vocals and flute) and Nancy Wilson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Michael Derosier (drums), and Howard Leese (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) to form the lineup for the band's initial mid- to late-1970s success period. ''Desire Walks On'' is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Heart, released on November 16, 1993, by Capitol Records. The majority of the album was co-written by lead members Ann and Nancy Wilson. It is Heart's final studio album to feature longtime members Howard Leese, who joined in 1975 and, aside from the Wilson sisters, is the band's longest-serving member, and Denny Carmassi, who had been its drummer since 1982. Layne Staley, lead vocalist of the Seattle grunge band Alice in Chains, sings with the Wilson sisters on the cover of Bob Dylan's "Ring Them Bells". ''Candlebox'' is the debut album by Seattle rock band Candlebox. It contains their best known hit, " Far Behind", as well as the hit singles "Change", " You" and "Cover Me". Released in 1993, the album has since been certified 4× platinum in the United States. Promotion The music videos for "Change", "Far Behind" and "You" remained in longstanding rotation on MTV and the latter became two of the most requested videos of 1993, and the former being featured on '' Beavis and Butt-Head''. Other songs were recorded during the ''Candlebox'' sessions and included on other releases. "Can't Give In," for instance, appears on the ''Airheads'' film soundtrack. Sweet Water is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. History Originally known as S.G.M., the majority of Sweet Water's members met while students at The Bush School. SGM had garnered acclaim as second generation punk pioneers in the Seattle scene, playing with Nirvana, the Accused, The Rejectors, The Melvins and more. Bruce Pavitt called the original SGM demo "Young, loud and crazy. Better than Soundgarden and Green River put together. Sky Cries Mary is an American psychedelic rock/trance musical group from Seattle, Washington, formed in the late 1980s by Roderick Wolgamott. Early band influences included European industrial music bands such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Coil, and Test Department, and 1970s glam/punk artists including Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and David Bowie. Truly is an American rock band formed in the wake of the grunge era. It featured singer-guitarist Robert Roth, bassist Hiro Yamamoto, and drummer Mark Pickerel.
