Richard Elson (born 1962) is a British people, British comic book artist best known for his work on ''Sonic the Comic'', ''2000 AD (comics), 2000 AD'' and ''Thor (Marvel comics), Thor''. Biography Richard Elson is a fine art graduate with over sixteen years experience as an artist and illustrator. His versatility has found a wide variety of outlets in a career that has included extended runs on ''Sonic the Comic'' and Britain's premier science-fiction comics anthology, anthology ''2000 AD''. Hulk
The Hulk is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. ''Tharg's Future Shocks'' is a long-running series of short strips in the British weekly comic '' 2000 AD'' in 1977. The name originates from the fictional editor of 2000 AD and the book titled ''Future Shock'', written by Alvin Toffler, published in 1970. Publishing history The series began in issue 25 of ''2000 AD'' titled "Tharg's Future Shocks" in a single short story written by Steve Moore, who also created the format. This established the pattern of the series which would be two- or three-page short stories, which were normally self-contained. These stories would be a testing ground for new artists and writers and creators resulting in the stories having a very mixed level of quality. Peter Milligan
Peter Milligan (born 24 June 1961) is a British comic book writer who has written extensively for both British and American comic book industries. In the UK, Milligan has contributed to numerous anthology titles including '' 2000 AD'', '' Revolver'', ''Eagle'' and '' A1'', and helped launch the influential magazine '' Deadline''. Shadows (comics)
A shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it. The cross section of a shadow is a two-dimensional silhouette, or a reverse projection of the object blocking the light. Point and non-point light sources A point source of light casts only a simple shadow, called an "umbra". For a non-point or "extended" source of light, the shadow is divided into the umbra, penumbra, and antumbra. The wider the light source, the more blurred the shadow becomes. If two penumbras overlap, the shadows appear to attract and merge. This is known as the shadow blister effect. The outlines of the shadow zones can be found by tracing the rays of light emitted by the outermost regions of the extended light source. Simon Spurrier
Simon "Si" Spurrier (born 2 May 1981) is a British comics writer and novelist, who has previously worked as a cook, a bookseller, and an art director for the BBC. Getting his start in comics with the British small press, he went on to write his own series for '' 2000 AD'', like '' Lobster Random'', '' Bec & Kawl'', '' The Simping Detective'' and '' Harry Kipling'', as well as a number of stories for the flagship character '' Judge Dredd''. In recent years he has broken into the American comic book industry, writing mainly for Marvel Comics. Alan McKenzie
Alan McKenzie is a British comics writer and editor known for his work at '' 2000 AD''. Biography McKenzie worked for Marvel UK during the early 1980s, editing '' Starburst'', ''Cinema'' and '' Doctor Who Monthly'' magazines. After leaving the Marvel staff in 1985, he wrote several ''Doctor Who'' comic stories for the Monthly under the pseudonym Max Stockbridge. He then wrote three non-fiction books, The Harrison Ford Story (1985), ''Hollywood Tricks of the Trade'' (1986) and ''How to Draw and Sell Comic Strips'' (1987) before contributing comic scripts to IPC's '' Battle Action'' and later ''2000 AD''. Morbius the Living Vampire, real name Michael Alexander Morbius, M.D.,''Morbius the Living Vampire'' (vol. 1) #1. Marvel Comics.
