Rent-a-Cop
''Rent-a-Cop'' is a 1987 American thriller comedy starring Burt Reynolds and Liza Minnelli. Reynolds plays a disgraced police officer, now working as a security guard, who falls in love with Minnelli, who plays a prostitute. The film saw both lead actors to be nominated for the 1988 Golden Raspberry Awards for Worst Actor and Worst Actress. (These nominations were not solely on the merits of ''Rent-a-Cop'', however; Reynolds and Minnelli were also cited for ''Switching Channels'' and '' Arthur 2: On the Rocks'', respectively). Minnelli ended up "winning" the Worst Actress prize. The film earned under $300,000 in American ticket sales. Initially released on 26 November 1987 in West Germany, its American premiere came two months later on 15 January 1988. Although set in Chicago, the movie was mostly filmed in Italy. Dennis Shryack
Dennis Shryack (August 25, 1936 – September 14, 2016) was an American screenwriter. Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, Shryack began his career as a singer in The Escorts quartet, which toured as an opening act for well-known artists such as Sammy Davis Jr. and Sophie Tucker. Following his time with The Escorts, Shryack was hired as a mailroom worker at Universal Pictures. Shryack's first produced screenplay was for the 1969 Western comedy film, ''The Good Guys and the Bad Guys'', which he co-wrote and co-produced with Ronald M. Cohen. His second film, the 1977 thriller ''The Car'', starred James Brolin and Kathleen Lloyd. Michael Blodgett
Michael Blodgett (September 26, 1939 – November 14, 2007) was an American actor, novelist, and screenwriter. Of his many film and television appearances he is best known for his performance as gigolo Lance Rocke in Russ Meyer's 1970 cult classic ''Beyond the Valley of the Dolls''. Giuseppe Rotunno
Giuseppe Rotunno (19 March 1923 – 7 February 2021) was an Italian cinematographer. Biography Sometimes credited as Peppino Rotunno, he was director of photography on eight films by Federico Fellini. He collaborated with several celebrated Italian directors including; Vittorio De Sica on ''Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'' starring Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni, and Luchino Visconti on '' Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960), ''The Leopard'' (1963), and '' The Stranger'' (1967). Bernard Terry Casey (June 8, 1939 – September 19, 2017) was an American actor, poet and professional American football player. Early life Casey was born in Wyco, West Virginia, the son of Flossie (Coleman) and Frank Leslie Casey. He graduated from East High School in Columbus, Ohio.
