Ministry (comics)
Ministry is a horror comic book created by writer-artist LJ Phillips. The comic is set on Crowley Island, an abandoned government centre where horrific occult experiments once took place. Hundreds were maimed and killed in the government’s quest for occult knowledge. The final experiment was conducted on a young run-away Ruthie and it killed her. As she died, she laid a curse on the Crowley Island. Her death combined with the energies produced by the experiment gave her curse power. Shortly afterwards, military fortifications were set up around the Crowley 1 Research Center to act as a barrier between it and the rest of the world. This wasn’t to keep people out but rather to contain Ruthie’s curse. In time, this became the final stop for every failed special forces operative, including the series’ protagonist, Sgt David Hanson

Under the constitution the President was elected by the Dáil, while the remaining ministers were nominated by the President and then ratified by the Dáil.
