Flag Of Norway
The national flag of Norway ( nb, Norges flagg; nn, Noregs flagg; ) is red with a navy blue Scandinavian cross fimbriated in white that extends to the edges of the flag; the vertical part of the cross is shifted to the hoist side in the style of the ''Dannebrog'', the flag of Denmark. Dag Terje Andersen
Dag Terje Andersen (born 27 May 1957 in Frogn, Akershus) is a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. In addition to professional politics he has worked at a steel mill and as a lumberjack, something that has given him a reputation for politically representing the average citizen. He was elected into the Norwegian parliament (''Storting'') as a representative from Vestfold in 1997, and he was re-elected in the 2005, 2009 and 2013 elections. Andersen was the Mayor of Lardal from 1987 to 1992. He was at first a political advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before he became State Secretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs in 1992. He was a party secretary for the Norwegian Labour Party from 1992 until 1996. In 1996 he became Minister of Agriculture, remaining in that post for slightly less than a year. Gustav Natvig-Pedersen
Gustav Natvig-Pedersen (18 August 1893 – 27 May 1965) was a Norwegian philologist, educator and politician for the Labour Party. A school teacher and headmaster during his professional career, he served in Stavanger city council from 1922 to 1964 and three terms in the Norwegian Parliament; during one of these terms he was President of the Storting. Einar Gerhardsen
Einar Henry Gerhardsen (; 10 May 1897 – 19 September 1987) was a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party of Norway. He was the 22nd prime minister of Norway for three periods, 1945–1951, 1955–1963 and 1963–1965. With totally 17 years in office, he is the longest serving Prime Minister in Norway since the introduction of parliamentarism. Oscar Torp
Oscar Fredrik Torp (, 8 June 1893 – 1 May 1958) was a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. He was party leader from 1923 to 1945, and mayor of Oslo in 1935 and 1936. In 1935 he became the acting minister of Defence in the government of Johan Nygaardsvold. He was also the minister of Social Affairs from 1936 to 1939, and then the minister of Finance from 1939 to 1942. He was appointed Minister of Defence again in 1942 in the London-based Norwegian exile government. He continued until the election in 1945 when he became the minister of Provisioning and Reconstruction until 1948. Bernt Ingvaldsen (12 October 1902 – 24 April 1985) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Trondheim. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the Market towns of Buskerud county in 1950, and was re-elected on six occasions. He was President of the Storting from 1965 to 1972, and from 1972 to 1973 he was Vice President. On the local level Ingvaldsen was a member of Drammen city council from 1945 to 1959. Leif Granli
Leif Granli (born 25 September 1909 in Hegra, died 17 March 1988) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 1945, and was re-elected on six occasions. From 1963 to 1965, while the fourth cabinet Gerhardsen held office, Granli was appointed Minister of Agriculture. During this period his seat in parliament was taken by Hans Mikal Solsem. Granli was later Vice President of the Storting from 1967 to 1972, and from 2 October 1972 to 30 September 1973 he was President of the Storting. On the local level he was a member of the executive committee of Frol municipal council from 1933 to 1949, except for the years 1940–1945 during the German occupation of Norway, and later a member of Levanger municipality council from 1959 to 1967. Guttorm Hansen
Guttorm Hansen (3 November 1920 – 2 April 2009) was a Norwegian writer and politician for the Labour Party. He started his career as a mechanic, but after 1945 he was a journalist and editor of magazines and newspapers. Via local politics in his native Namsos he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1961, serving six terms in total. He was the President of the Storting for two of these terms, from 1973 to 1981. He was also known as a prolific book writer, many of his books having a direct connection to his political life. Jo Benkow (born Josef Elias Benkowitz; 15 August 1924 – 18 May 2013) was a Norwegian politician and writer, notable for being an important person in the Conservative Party of Norway, and the President of the Parliament 1985–1993.
