ESPNews
ESPNews (pronounced "ESPN News", stylized ESPNEWS) is an American multinational digital cable and satellite television network owned by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between the Disney Media Networks division of The Walt Disney Company (which owns a controlling 80% stake) and Hearst Communications (which owns the remaining 20%). Known as "ESPN3" in its planning stages and proposed as early as 1993, the channel launched on November 1, 1996, and originally featured a rolling news format with 24-hour coverage of sports news and highlights. Since 2010, the network has largely shifted away from this format, and now primarily carries television simulcasts of ESPN Radio shows, encores of ESPN's weekday lineup of studio programs, and overflow event programming in the event of conflicts with the other ESPN networks. Yahoo! Sports is a sports news website launched by Yahoo! on December 8, 1997. It receives a majority of its information from STATS, Inc. It employs numerous writers, and has team pages for teams in almost every North American major sport. Before the launch of Yahoo Sports, certain elements of the site were known as Yahoo! Scoreboard. Michael Robinette Greenberg (born August 6, 1967) is a television anchor, television show host, radio show host for ESPN and ABC, and novelist. ''Mike & Mike'' (formerly ''Mike and Mike in the Morning'') was an American sports-talk radio show that was hosted by Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic on ESPN networks from 2000–2017. The show aired on ESPN Radio, and was simulcast on television, first on ESPNews starting in 2004, and later moving to ESPN2 in 2006. The show primarily focused on the day's biggest sports topics and the humorous banter between the Mikes. It acted as the morning show for both the radio and television sides of the production. Outside of a few radio stations that are able to move or decline carriage of the show for their own local morning productions (or for daytime-only operations, may not be able to carry), ''Mike & Mike'' was effectively a compulsory element of the ESPN Radio schedule, which all affiliates of the network were required to carry. Mike Golic
Michael Louis Golic Sr. (; born December 12, 1962) is a former National Football League (NFL) defensive lineman and television host. Golic is well known for his 25-year association with ESPN, most notably co-hosting ESPN Radio's '' Mike & Mike'' from 2000 to 2017. Golic joined ESPN in 1995 as a reporter/analyst for '' Sunday NFL Countdown''. He was an original analyst for ''NFL 2Night'' (now known as ''NFL Live''), the five-night-per-week news and information program on ESPN2. Golic also served as analyst for Arena Football League on ESPN. In 1997, Golic began serving as college football analyst for ESPN and ABC Sports, a role he continued until 2004 and resumed in 2020. Dave Feldman (born 1965) is an American sportscaster. Formerly at ESPN and WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., Feldman began his current position as reporter and television anchor for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area in San Francisco, California on July 23, 2012. Career Feldman was hired by CSN Bay Area to serve as anchor/reporter for the network's San Francisco 49ers programming and the network's regular studio show ''SportsNet Central'', including pre- and post-game shows for Major League Baseball, NBA basketball and NHL hockey broadcasts. Neil Everett Morfitt (born ) is an American sportscaster for ESPN. He is the co-anchor of the West Coast edition of ''SportsCenter'' alongside Stan Verrett. Early life and education Everett was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Spokane, Washington. He was a varsity starter in football and basketball at Lewis and Clark High School, named to the all-city team in football at guard, and also played on the defensive line. He graduated in 1980. Everett attended Willamette University in Salem before transferring to the University of Oregon in Eugene and graduated in 1984. Lindsay Ann Czarniak (born ) is an American sports anchor and reporter. She currently works for Fox Sports as a sideline reporter for NFL games. Jonathan William Coachman (born August 12, 1973), also known as "The Coach", is an American sports analyst and former professional wrestling personality currently signed to WWE and XFL. Early life Before embarking on an announcing career in professional wrestling, Coachman was a high school basketball player. After two state basketball championships at McPherson High School in McPherson, Kansas, Coachman moved across town to continue playing for McPherson College.
