Kiidjärve
Kiidjärve is a village in Põlva Parish, Põlva County in southeastern Estonia. (retrieved 28 July 2021) It's located about north of the town of Põlva and about southeast of the city of Tartu, by the Tartu–Pechory railway and the Ahja River. The village territory includes Saesaare Reservoir with hydroelectric power station and Valgesoo bog (Landscape protection area). As of 2011 Estonia Census, 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 168. In Kiidjärve, there's a railway halt on Elron (rail transit), Elron's Tartu–Koidula railway station, Koidula line, but is served by only one train a day. The journey from/to Tartu takes about 45 minutes. Kiidjärve is home to "Maarja Village" (''Maarja Küla''), home of young adults with learning disabilities. Ene Järvis
Ene Järvis (born 26 October 1947) is an Estonian stage, film, radio, and television actress. Early life and education Ene Järvis was born in Kiidjärve, Põlva County to parents Paul and Amanda Elfriede Järvis. She was the second to youngest of five siblings; two older sisters and an older brother named Eimar almost fourteen years her senior, and a younger sister. She attended schools in Põlva, graduating from Põlva Secondary School in 1966 (now, Põlva Gymnasium). Following graduation, she enrolled at the Tallinn State Conservatory in Tallinn (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), graduating from the institution's performing arts department in 1970. During her studies at the Tallinn State Conservatory, she met and befriended classmate Helene Vannari. The two would become lifelong friends.
