John I. Sauls
John Irwin Sauls II (born November 29, 1949) is a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. A pastor from Sanford, North Carolina and former Lee County Commissioner, he has represented the 51st district (including constituents in Lee and Harnett counties) since 2017. When Sauls returned to the NC House in 2017, he held the position of Republican Freshman Chair. He has been elected to the NC House a total of 5 times, most recently in 2020. Personal life Sauls' son, John Sauls III or "Pastor J3" took over Sauls position as lead pastor at Crossroads Ministries in 2016. Sauls is a Vietnam-era veteran. Martin Nesbitt (politician)
Martin Luther Nesbitt Jr. (September 25, 1946 – March 6, 2014) was a Democratic member of the North Carolina Senate. He represented the 49th district (Buncombe County). An attorney from Asheville, North Carolina, Nesbitt was elected to eleven terms in the state House before moving to the state senate in 2004. Political career Nesbitt was first appointed to the House in 1979 to fill out the remainder of the term of his mother, Mary Cordell Nesbitt, who held the House seat until her death. Groomed by one of North Carolina's most famous and influential politicians, Liston Ramsey, Nesbitt rose to become an appropriations chairman and top budget writer in the 1990s. The Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, commonly known as House Bill 2 or HB2, was a North Carolina statute passed in March 2016 and signed into law by Governor Pat McCrory. Bradley Keith Salmon (born January 3, 1980) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Career He played in Minor League Baseball in with the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts and Triple-A Louisville Bats.
