The House of Bonde is an ancient Swedish noble family. Today, two branches of the family survive, the barons of the House of Bonde which is number 20 in the Swedish House of Nobility and the counts of the House of Bonde af Björnö, number 41. Magdalena of Sweden (Swedish: ''Magdalena Karlsdotter'' 1445 – August 1495) was a Swedish princess. She was the daughter of Charles VIII of Sweden and his first queen consort, Catherine of Bjurum. In 1468–1470, her spouse Ivar Axelsson (Tott) was the promised successor of her father as regent. Biography Magdalena was one of Charles's nine children, most of whom died in infancy. Her father became King of Sweden in 1448 and King of Norway in 1449. She married Ivar Axelsson (Tott) in Nyköping on 21 September 1466. Their marriage was childless. Oskar "Ossi" Bonde, ''Carl Oskar Torkelsson Bonde af Björnö'', born January 24, 1979, is a Swedish drummer in the rock duo Johnossi. Bonde grew up in Storängen, Nacka, Sweden, and lives currently in Stockholm. He has an older brother and sister. Gustaf Bonde (1911–1977)
Count Gustaf Bonde af Björnö (8 October 1911 – 21 September 1977) was a Swedish diplomat. Career Bonde was born at Trolleholm Castle, Sweden, the son of count Gustaf Trolle–Bonde (1868–1951) and countess Henriette Falkenberg (1883–1932). He became a second lieutenant in the Scanian Cavalry Regiment's (K 2) reserve in 1932 and graduated with an administrative degree (''kansliexamen'') in 1935. Bonde graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1937 and became an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1937. He served in Paris, Budapest, Washington, D.C., Cairo and Athens from 1937 to 1956. Bonde was chief of protocol at the Foreign Ministry from 1956 to 1962 and deputy introducer for foreign emissaries from 1960. He was ambassador in Santiago from 1962 to 1965, in Rio de Janeiro from 1966 to 1970, in Tehran and Kabul from 1970 to 1973 and finally in Budapest from 1973 to 1977. General Count Thord C:son (Carlsson) Bonde af Björnö (17March 1900 – 18October 1969) was a Swedish Army officer. His senior commands include military commander of the VII Military District in 1955, commander of the III Military District from 1955 to 1957 and Chief of the Army from 1957 to 1963. Carl Bonde
Count Carl Gustaf Bonde af Björnö (28 April 1872 – 13 June 1957) was a Swedish Army officer, equerry and horse rider who competed at the 1912 and 1928 Olympics. Military career Bonde was born in Stockholm, Sweden and was the son of landowner, count Gustaf ''Fredrik'' Bonde af Björnö and his English wife ''Ida'' Horatia Charlotta Marryat. After passing his '' studentexamen'' in 1892, Bonde became a sergeant in the Life Regiment Hussars (K 3) in 1893 and second lieutenant in 1894 and lieutenant there in 1900. He retired in 1908 and became cavalry captain in the reserve in 1910. Jens-Peter Bonde
Jens-Peter Rossen Bonde (27 March 1948 – 4 April 2021) was a Danish politician who served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) with the June Movement. He resigned as an MEP in May 2008. Bonde was elected to the European Parliament in the first election in 1979 with the People's Movement against the EU. He was re-elected 6 times consecutively. In 1992 he co-founded the June Movement which he chaired until his retirement in May 2008. Jens-Peter Bonde emerged from the Danish Left of the 1970s, however he was on the centre-left for much of his life. In November 2005 he was the inspiration behind the setting up of a new Party at a European level, EUDemocrats. He was its president from 2005 to 2009. Wilhelmina "Mina" Sofia Charlotta Bonde, née Lewenhaupt (10 July 1817 – 1899), was a Swedish countess and courtier. She served as överhovmästarinna to the Queen of Sweden, Louise of the Netherlands, from 1860 to 1869. She was also known as ''countess Minchen''. Gustaf Bonde (1620–1667)
Baron Gustaf Bonde (4 February 1620 – 25 May 1667) was a Swedish statesman. He was a persistent advocate of a pacifist policy at a time when war on the slightest provocation was the watchword of every Swedish politician. Even the popular Polish adventure of Charles X of Sweden was strenuously opposed by Bonde, though when once it was decided upon he materially assisted the king to find the means for carrying it on. He was also in favour of strict economy coupled with the recovery of the royal domains which had fallen into the hands of the nobles, though his natural partiality for his fellow-peers came out clearly enough when in 1655 he was appointed a member of Charles X's land-recovery commission. Charles VIII ( sv, Karl; 1408–1470), contemporaneously known as Charles II and called Charles I in Norwegian context, was king of Sweden (1448–1457, 1464–1465 and 1467–1470) and king of Norway (1449–1450). Regnal name Charles was the second Swedish king by the name of Charles (Karl).
