Gavriel Salvendy
Gavriel Salvendy (born September 30, 1938) is a pioneer in the field of human factors and ergonomics. In 1990, he was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for fundamental contributions to and professional leadership in human, physical and cognitive aspects of engineering systems. He is the recipient of the John Fritz Medal which is the engineering profession's highest award. John Fritz Medal
The John Fritz Medal has been awarded annually since 1902 by the American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES) for "outstanding scientific or industrial achievements". The medal was created for the 80th birthday of John Fritz, who lived between 1822 and 1913.
