IXL (interactive Agency)
iXL Enterprises was an international interactive agency that operated from 1996 until 2002. The company was founded by Atlanta entrepreneur Bert Ellis, who also served as the company's chairman and CEO. At the company's height in 1999, which coincided with the height of the dot-com boom, iXL had around 1500 employees, a quarterly revenue of $33 million, and was publicly traded on the Nasdaq exchange, with ticker symbol "IIXL". After a series of acquisitions, it is now part of the Razorfish agency, owned by Publicis Groupe. iXL had its headquarters in Atlanta, with additional offices in Berlin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Hamburg, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, New York City, Richmond, San Diego, San Francisco, São Paulo, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. IXL, Oklahoma
IXL (or I.X.L.) is an historical freedmen's town in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, United States. While founded perhaps as early as 1900, it was only incorporated in 2001 and had an estimated population of 59 in 2007. The 2010 census listed the population at 51. The source of IXL's unusual name is disputed. A 2012 article on the town's website explained that the name derived from ''Indian Exchange Land'', a reference to the town being on Mvskoke land. Other sources claim that the letters were taken from the names of three men. Some people think it’s an onomatopoeic boast suggesting “I excel.” This town should not be confused with Oklahoma towns in Kay County Kay County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The IXL Historical Museum is a historic office building, residence, and museum complex in Hermansville, Michigan, United States. The main building was constructed as the headquarters for the Wisconsin Land & Lumber Company before it became a museum. The museum was organized in 1982, and the main building, also known as the Wisconsin Land and Lumber Company Office, was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Henry Jones IXL was a company primarily known as a manufacturer of jams, conserves and sauces in Australia. The brand was owned and its products manufactured by SPC Ardmona from 2004, which was itself owned by Coca-Cola Amatil from February 2005. SPC acquired IXL and Taylors brands in 2004, and sold both brands with the Kyabram factory in 2019 to a group of farmers and growers in the Goulburn Valley. The new owners have Malaysian investment. Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport
Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport is a domestic airport serving Leh, the capital of Ladakh, India. It is the 23rd highest commercial airport in the world at above mean sea level. The airport is named after 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche, an Indian statesman and monk, whose Spituk Monastery is in direct vicinity to the airfield. Military use Due to the presence of mountain winds in the afternoon, all flights take off and land in the morning. The approach is challenging as it is unidirectional and has high terrain towards the eastern end of the airport. Airport security is highly restricted with Indian Army patrols.
