Dapper Day
Dapper Day is an organization that celebrates refined style from yesterday and today by organizing outings and social events with various locations including museums, concert halls, Disney parks, and other venues, where participants are encouraged to "step out in style." Disney Park Outings Dapper Day is most famous for their popular semi-annual outings to Disney theme parks in Anaheim, Orlando, and Paris each spring and fall. The Disney park outings are described as intended to celebrate the tradition of "stepping out in style". The first Dapper Day outing was held in February 2011 at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California, as a small function organized by Justin Jorgensen. Disneyland
Disneyland is a theme park in Anaheim, California. Opened in 1955, it was the first theme park opened by The Walt Disney Company and the only one designed and constructed under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. Disney initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon felt that the proposed site was too small. After hiring the Stanford Research Institute to perform a feasibility study determining an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a site near Anaheim in 1953. Bats Day in the Fun Park, also known as ''Bats Day'', ''Goth Day'', ''Goth Day at Disneyland'', ''The Spooky Trip to Disneyland Resort, CA.'', ''Bats Day in the Park'' and ''Bats Day Out'', started in August 1999 as a joint effort between the promoters of the goth, industrial, and deathrock clubs Absynthe and Release the Bats. Gay Days At Walt Disney World
Disney World Gay Days is a loosely organized event where lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals, their families, friends and supporters go to Walt Disney World on a week long event each year. It is held on the first Saturday in June (with numerous other events in the area during the preceding week). History The first documented event, in June 1991, had 3,000 LGBTQ+ people from central Florida going to area theme parks on one day wearing red shirts to make their presence more visible. Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a global motorcycle event raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men's mental health programs on behalf of the Movember Foundation. Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is a rotating theater audio-animatronic stage show attraction in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida just outside of Orlando, Florida. A tintype, also known as a melainotype or ferrotype, is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal coated with a dark lacquer or enamel and used as the support for the photographic emulsion. Tintypes enjoyed their widest use during the 1860s and 1870s, but lesser use of the medium persisted into the early 20th century and it has been revived as a novelty and fine art form in the 21st. Tintype portraits were at first usually made in a formal photographic studio, like daguerreotypes and other early types of photographs, but later they were most commonly made by photographers working in booths or the open air at fairs and carnivals, as well as by itinerant sidewalk photographers.
