Christopher Gunning
Christopher Gunning (born 5 August 1944) is an English composer of concert works and music for films and television. Gunning was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where his tutors included Edmund Rubbra and Richard Rodney Bennett. Gunning's film and TV compositions have received many awards, including the 2007 BAFTA Award for Best Film Music for ''La Vie en Rose'', as well as three additional awards for ''Agatha Christie's Poirot'', ''Middlemarch'', and ''Porterhouse Blue''. He has also won three ''Ivor Novello Awards'', for the TV miniseries ''Rebecca'', and the film scores for '' Under Suspicion'' (1991), and '' Firelight'' (1997). His other film scores include ''Goodbye Gemini'' (1970), '' Hands of the Ripper'' (1971), '' Ooh... Hands Of The Ripper
''Hands of the Ripper'' is a 1971 British horror film, directed by Peter Sasdy for Hammer Film Productions. It was written by L. W. Davidson from a story by Edward Spencer Shew, and produced by Aida Young. The film was released in the U.S. as a double feature with ''Twins of Evil''. Plot The young daughter of Jack the Ripper is witness to the brutal murder of her mother by her father. Fifteen years later, she is a troubled young woman who is seemingly possessed by the spirit of her late father. While in a psychotic trance she continues his murderous killing spree, but has no recollection of the events afterwards. A sympathetic psychiatrist takes her in and is convinced he can cure her condition. However, he soon regrets his decision... Say You Don't Mind
"Say You Don't Mind" is a song written and originally recorded by English musician Denny Laine. It was a top 20 hit for Colin Blunstone in 1972. History Laine wrote the song in 1967 after he had quit The Moody Blues and was forming the Electric String Band. He recorded the song as a solo single, with a string arrangement by John Paul Jones, but it failed to chart. Episode Six (featuring future Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan and bassist Roger Glover) recorded the song at a BBC session in January 1968, with keyboardist Sheila Carter singing lead. The song was also recorded in 1970 by British psychedelic pop group Orange Bicycle, for their eponymous first album. The song was revisited by former Zombies frontman Colin Blunstone in 1971 as the closing track on his first solo album, '' One Year''. Colin Blunstone
Colin Edward Michael Blunstone (born 24 June 1945) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. In a career spanning more than 60 years, Blunstone came to prominence in the mid-1960s as the lead singer of the English rock band the Zombies, which released four singles that entered the Top 75 charts in the United States during the 1960s, including "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", " She's Coming Home", and "Time of the Season". Blunstone began his solo career in 1969, releasing three singles under a pseudonym of Neil MacArthur. Since then, he has released ten studio albums under his real name. He appears on several albums with the Alan Parsons Project and sang " Old and Wise". In 2019, Blunstone was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of The Zombies. ''When the Whales Came'' is a 1989 British drama film directed by Clive Rees and starring Helen Mirren, Paul Scofield, David Suchet, Barbara Jefford, David Threlfall, John Hallam, Barbara Ewing, and Jeremy Kemp.
