Caroline Wozniacki
Caroline Wozniacki (; born 11 July 1990) is a Danish former professional tennis player. She was ranked world No. 1 in singles for a total of 71 weeks, including at the end of 2010 and 2011. She achieved the top ranking for the first time on 11 October 2010, becoming the 20th player in the Open Era and the first woman from a Scandinavian country to hold the top position. In 2018, she became the first Dane to win a Grand Slam singles title, after winning the 2018 Australian Open. Known for her footwork and defensive abilities, Wozniacki won 30 WTA singles titles (including six in both 2010 and 2011, the most in a year by a WTA player from 2008–2011) and two doubles titles. A junior Grand Slam champion, she won the 2006 Wimbledon girls' singles title over Magdaléna Rybáriková, and was voted the WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2008. 2009 US Open – Women's Singles
Kim Clijsters defeated Caroline Wozniacki in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2009 US Open. It was her second US Open title and her second major singles title overall. She became the first unseeded player and wild card to win the title, and the first mother to win a major since Evonne Goolagong in 1980. Following her win, she appeared at 19th in the rankings. Magdaléna Rybáriková (; born 4 October 1988) is a retired Slovak tennis player. In her career, she won four singles titles and one doubles title on the WTA Tour. Rybáriková reached the semifinals of the 2017 Wimbledon Championships and broke into the top 30 for the first time in September 2017, and reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 17, in March 2018. The 2018 Australian Open was a tennis tournament played at Melbourne Park between 15 and 28 January 2018, and was the first Grand Slam tournament of the 2018 season.
