Caloocan, officially the City of Caloocan ( fil, Lungsod ng Caloocan; ), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in Metropolitan Manila, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 1,661,584 people making it the fourth-most populous city in the Philippines. Caloocan is divided into two geographical locations with a total combined area of . It was formerly part of the Province of Rizal of the Philippines' Southern Luzon Region. It comprises what is known as the CAMANAVA area along with cities Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela. South Caloocan is bordered by Manila, Quezon City, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela. Oscar "Oca" Gonzales Malapitan (born June 14, 1955) is a Filipino politician who currently serves as the representative from the 1st District of Caloocan in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2022 and previously from 2004 to 2013. He also served as Mayor of Caloocan from 2013 to 2022, Vice Mayor of Caloocan from 2001 to 2004, and City Councilor from 1992 to 1998. He also unsuccessfully ran for representative in 2001. Mary Mitzi Lim Cajayon-Uy (born May 6, 1978), also known as Mitch Cajayon-Uy, is a Filipino politician who is the incumbent representative from the 2nd District of Caloocan in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2022 and previously from 2007 to 2013. She also served as the executive director of the Council for the Welfare of Children, an attached agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Development from 2017 to 2021.
