Correlated Color Temperature
Color temperature is the color of light emitted by an idealized opaque, non-reflective body at a particular temperature measured in kelvins. The color temperature scale is used to categorize the color of light emitted by other light sources regardless of their temperature. Color temperature is a characteristic of visible light that has important applications in lighting, photography, videography, publishing, manufacturing, astrophysics, horticulture, and other fields. In practice, color temperature is meaningful only for light sources that do in fact correspond somewhat closely to the color of some black body, i.e., light in a range going from red to orange to yellow to white to bluish white; it does not make sense to speak of the color temperature of, e.g., a green or a purple light. Color temperature is conventionally expressed in kelvins, using the symbol K, a unit of measure for absolute temperature. Color temperatures over 5000 K are called "cool colors" (bluish), ...

Christian Churches Together
Christian Churches Together in the USA (CCT) is an organization formed in 2006 to "broaden and expand fellowship, unity and witness among the diverse expressions of Christian traditions in the USA." Christian Churches Together was created as a space for dialogue and cooperation among churches and ecumenical Christian organizations. It does not attempt to combine Christian faiths or compromise their distinctiveness. Rather, It provides a context in which churches can develop relationships with other churches with whom they presently have little or no contact. Christian Churches Together includes most, if not all, the Christian traditions in the USA . It also includes non-denominational Christian organizations. The major activity of the organization is the Annual Forum. In the past few years, topics addressed at the annual forum included gospel perspectives of life, immigration, mass incarceration, poverty and racism. CCT only speaks out on issues in which all the churches agree ...

Colossal Carbon Tube
Colossal carbon tubes (CCTs) are a tubular form of carbon. In contrast to the carbon nanotubes (CNTs), colossal carbon tubes have much larger diameters ranging between 40 and 100 μm. Their walls have a corrugated structure with abundant pores, as in corrugated fiberboard, where the solid membranes have a graphite-like layered structure. CCTs have technologically attractive properties such as ultra light-weight, extremely high strength, excellent ductility and high conductivity - which make them possibly suitable for clothing. They are excellent (105 siemens per metre) electrical conductors, are 15 times stronger than the strongest carbon fiber (T1000), have 30 times the tenacity of Kevlar and are 224 times stronger than individual cotton fibers. The tubes exhibit an ultra low density comparable to that of carbon nanofoams. CCTs have a tensile strength of 7 GPa, and a high specific strength (tensile strength per density), and a breaking length of 6,000 km. This exceeds the ...

Best Value
Best Value was government policy in the United Kingdom affecting the provision of public services in England and Wales. In Wales, Best Value is known as the Wales Programme for Improvement. A statutory duty of Best Value applies in Scotland.Audit ScotlandBest Value accessed 29 December 2021 Introduction The predecessor to the UK Labour Government's Best Value policy was the Conservative Government's 1980s policy of compulsory competitive tendering (CCT). This required public-sector organisations to enable private companies to bid for contracts to deliver public services (such as cleaning, transport, security, and catering) in competition with the public sector's own organisations. The idea was to improve services through competition. CCT requirements were relaxed upon the election of the Labour government in 1997, but similar concepts were soon promoted by the Labour government through its 'Best Value' policy. Best Value was adopted in England and Wales by the Local Governme ...

Certificate Of Completion Of Training
The Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) is the certificate that medical doctors in the United Kingdom receive to indicate that they have completed training in their chosen specialty and are therefore eligible for entry onto the specialist or GP register. This registration is needed to apply for posts as a consultant or a general practitioner (GP) respectively. As of 2010, there are postgraduate medical training programmes in 61 specialties that lead to the award of a CCT. This certificate is awarded by the General Medical Council (GMC), a self-funding statutory body independent of the government A government is the system or group of people governing an organized community, generally a state. In the case of its broad associative definition, government normally consists of legislature, executive, and judiciary. Government is a ... and the Royal Colleges of the various medical specialties. Continuous Cooling Transformation
A continuous cooling transformation (CCT) phase diagram is often used when heat treating steel.. These diagrams are used to represent which types of phase changes will occur in a material as it is cooled at different rates. These diagrams are often more useful than time-temperature-transformation diagrams because it is more convenient to cool materials at a certain rate (temperature-variable cooling), than to cool quickly and hold at a certain temperature (isothermal cooling). Types of continuous cooling diagrams There are two types of continuous cooling diagrams drawn for practical purposes. * Type 1: This is the plot beginning with the transformation start point, cooling with a specific transformation fraction and ending with a transformation finish temperature for all products against transformation time for each cooling curve. * Type 2: This is the plot beginning with the transformation start point, cooling with specific transformation fraction and ending with a transformati ...

GCxGC
Comprehensive Two-dimensional gas chromatography, or GC×GC is a multidimensional gas chromatography technique that was originally described in 1984 by J. Calvin Giddings and first successfully implemented in 1991 by Professor Phillips and his student Zaiyou Liu. GC×GC utilizes two different columns with two different stationary phases. In GC×GC, all of the effluent from the first dimension column is diverted to the second dimension column via a modulator. The modulator quickly traps, then "injects" the effluent from the first dimension column onto the second dimension. This process creates a retention plane of the 1st dimension separation x 2nd dimension separation. The Oil and Gas Industry were early adopters of the technology for the complex oil samples to determine the many different types of Hydrocarbons and its isomers. Nowadays in these types of samples it has been reported that over 30000 different compounds could be identified in a crude oil with this Comprehensive ...
