Brahmpur is a large village and corresponding community development block in Buxar district of Bihar. It is known for its temple of Shiva, its religious practices, and its cattle fair. People visit Brahmapur to perform religious rituals in the temple of Shiva. Brahmapur is a major and one of the oldest railway stations in the Indian state of Odisha. It is administered under Khurda Road railway division of East Coast Railway zone. It serves Brahmapur Silk city of India, Ganjam district and two other districts of South Odisha and other districts of neighboring Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 'A' grade railway stations of India. After Berhampur, Paralakhemundi (PLH) is the first Odisha Originated and dedicated Railway station in Odisha. Brahmapur is a neighbourhood of Kolkata in West Bengal, India. It is located in the southern fringes of the city and is flanked by Bansdroni to the north and west, Naktala to the east and Boral to the south.
