Barranquilla () is the capital district of Atlántico Department in Colombia. Carnival Of Barranquilla
The Carnival of Barranquilla ('' es, Carnaval de Barranquilla'') is one of Colombia's most important folkloric celebrations, and one of the biggest carnivals in the world. The carnival has traditions that date back to the 19th century. Four days before Lent, Barranquilla decks itself out to receive national and foreign tourists to join together with the city's inhabitants to enjoy four days of intense festivities. During the carnival, Barranquilla's normal activities are put aside as the city gets busy with street dances, musical and masquerade parades. 2027 Pan American Games
The 2027 Pan American Games, officially the XX Pan American Games, is a forthcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to be held in Barranquilla, Colombia. Bidding process The bidding process to determine the host of the 2027 Pan American Games was to begin in January 2021. However, in July 2021, president of Panam Sports Neven Ilic confirmed that the bidding process would be postponed until January 2022. The deadline to submit bids for the event is November 15, 2021. Puerto Colombia is a coastal town and municipality in Atlántico Department, Colombia founded in the mid 1800s. Magdalena River
The Magdalena River ( es, Río Magdalena, ; less commonly ) is the main river of Colombia, flowing northward about through the western half of the country. It takes its name from the biblical figure Mary Magdalene. Soledad () is a municipality in the Colombian department of Atlántico, part of the metropolitan area of Barranquilla.
