AFL Game Day
''AFL Game Day'' was an Australian television program broadcast on the Seven Network in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania and on 7mate in all other states. In Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania it aired following ''Weekend Sunrise''. The program focused on the current issues in the Australian Football League. It first aired on 16 March 2008 and aired at 10am on Sundays throughout the AFL season. History The weekly program was hosted by Hamish McLachlan and had regular guests such as Leigh Matthews, Mark Stevens, Jude Bolton, Cameron Ling or Jimmy Bartel. Several current players or coaches also appeared each week. The program was extended to 90 minutes in 2012, finishing at 11:30 am, meaning the last half-hour went head to head with the Nine Network's ''The Sunday Footy Show''. Nicholas Maxwell (born 3 June 1983) is a former Australian rules football player and former captain of the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Nick Maxwell was born in Geelong to parents Sue and Doug and at age 10 moved to Wallington. He was educated at St. Joseph's College where he played his junior football. In 2001, Maxwell played for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup. His first senior football was played with the North Ballarat Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Mark Anthony Ricciuto ( ; born 8 June 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). From Ramco, South Australia, Ricciuto started as a junior with the local Waikerie Magpies Football Club. He joined the West Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), making his debut at the age of 16, before being recruited by Adelaide as a zone selection prior to the 1993 season. Playing as a midfielder, he established himself in Adelaide's side, receiving a nomination for the AFL Rising Star in 1993, his debut season, and being named in the All-Australian team the following season, the first of eight selections overall. David Schwarz (born 24 July 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer, who retired in 2002 after playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), for 12 seasons. Football career Recruited from Sunbury, Schwarz made his AFL debut in 1991. As a player for the Melbourne Football Club, he was known as "the Ox" for his beast-like build. Matthew Richardson (born 19 March 1975) is a former professional Australian rules footballer and current media personality who represented Richmond in the Australian Football League (AFL).
