''30 Rock'' is an American satire, satirical sitcom television series created by Tina Fey that originally aired on NBC from October 11, 2006, to January 31, 2013. The series, based on Fey's experiences as head writer for ''Saturday Night Live'', takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy show depicted as airing on NBC. The series's name refers to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, where the NBC Studios (New York City), NBC Studios are located and where ''Saturday Night Live'' is written, produced, and performed. The series was produced by Lorne Michaels's Broadway Video (which also produces ''Saturday Night Live'') and Fey's Little Stranger (film company), Little Stranger, in association with NBCUniversal. ''30 Rock'' episodes were produced in a single-camera setup (with the exception of the two live television, live episodes that were produced in the multiple-camera setup) and were filmed in New York. Scott Adsit
Robert Scott Adsit (born November 26, 1965) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Adsit joined the mainstage cast of Chicago's The Second City in 1994 after attending Columbia College Chicago. He appeared in several revues, including ''Paradigm Lost'' for which he won The Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Comedy. From 2005 to 2008, he codirected, co-wrote and coproduced the Adult Swim stop-motion animation program '' Moral Orel'' with Dino Stamatopoulos and Jay Johnston. He also voiced several characters and was nominated for an Annie Award for his work as Clay Puppington, Orel's father. After the success of ''Moral Orel'', Adsit and Stamatopoulos worked together again on the stop-motion animation series '' Mary Shelley's Frankenhole'' (2010–2012). Jane Krakowski
Jane Krakowski (; ; born October 11, 1968) is an American actress and singer. She starred as Jenna Maroney in the NBC satirical comedy series ''30 Rock'' (2006–2013, 2020), for which she received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Krakowski's other television roles have included Elaine Vassal in the Fox legal comedy-drama series '' Ally McBeal'' (1997–2002) and Jacqueline White in the Netflix comedy series '' Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'' (2015–2020). For the latter, she received another Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination. A trained singer, Krakowski has also worked on the stage.
