''Zostera nigricaulis'' is a species of
eelgrass native to the seacoasts of
New South Wales,
Victoria,
South Australia,
Western Australia and
Tasmania, and across the Pacific in Chile.
It was first discovered on
Kangaroo Island in South Australia in 1988.
