In 1803 the Danish artillery corps was split into three Brigades, ''Holstenske Artilleribrigade'', ''Danske Artilleribrigade'' and ''Norske Artilleribrigade'' (disbanded in 1814). The Regiment traces its history back to ''Holstenske Artilleribrigade''. In the
