After the
restoration of Ukraine's independence in 1991, the
state-owned enterprise was transformed into an
open joint-stock company. In 1993 it was incorporated. The owner is
PrivatBank. In August 1997, the plant was included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine. In 1998, the Ukrainian Association of Ferroalloy Manufacturers (UkrFA) was established, which included the plant. In September 2005, the plant began production of ferrosilicoaluminum (composed of 15–20% aluminum and 50–70% silicon), which was mastered on the furnace No. 1, which previously produced ferrosilicon.
