Early life

Malkhasyants was born as the only child to a ballet family in Perm, Russia. Her mother danced ''

Career

As of 1995 she works as choreography teacher at the Institute of Modern Arts. From 1992 to 1997 she was the artistic director of the “Russian ballet on ice” with which troupe she worked to stage a ballet called ''Catharsis'' in 1992 which was based on Carl Orff's music. In 1993 she appeared in a Chili-Bolivian ballet '' Songs of the Andes'' and in 1996 appeared in '' Antigonae''. During the same year she also played a ''nurse'' in ''

In 2007 the '' Ballet'' honored her with the ''Soul of Dance'' prize. In 2009 she played a role of ''Megaera'' in '' La Esmeralda'' of which play she was also assistant director.
