The war memorial commemorates those from Wetherby who were casualties of the First World War. The inscription upon it reads 'IN HONOUR AND EVERLASTING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF WETHERBY WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918'.
