He has written 68 books in Kannada. Bhat is generally known to have political inclination towards Hindu nationalism, which has been seen in his articles, tweets and Books. He maintains close association with the organisation RSS and the political party BJP. Vishweshwar bhat also leads a team that runs sessions in Clubhouse under a group named ‘Vishwavani club’ mainly focusing on topics related to hindutva ideology. In August 2012 Bhat was allegedly one of the journalists who was being targeted by terror suspects for harbouring anti- Islamic sentiments.
