County Kerry
County Kerry ( gle, Contae Chiarraí) is a county in Ireland. It is located in the South-West Region and forms part of the province of Munster. It is named after the Ciarraige who lived in part of the present county. The population of the co ...
has had a long history of pirate radio. One of the first pirate radio stations was set up by Michael Donovan in the early 1970s and it was called Radio Tralee. It first broadcast on AM. It was reestablished as Kerry Local Radio (KLR) and broadcast on FM. Many other pirate stations have broadcast in Kerry over the years.
