At its creation in 1932, US 275 ran from Council Bluffs to Saint Joseph, Missouri. In 1939 the route was extended northwest into Nebraska. In 1963 US 275 was truncated to its current end in northwestern Missouri. Prior to 1963, US 275 extended south to St. Joseph. The route followed current
