hosting thousands of participants of all ages and abilities for a fast and festive Halloween weekend event. The Tulsa Run began in 1978 with just over 1,000 runners. Since that time, it’s earned a spot as a marquee community event and the oldest race in Tulsa. In 2023, participants came from 35 different states and 5 different countries. It’s a true community event. Since 2011, the Tulsa Run has donated more than $330,000 to local non-profits.  Local running shops such as Runner’s World Tulsa, Tulsa Runner help participants prepare by providing run training. While the Tulsa Running Club provides pacers to help 15K participants reach their goal finish times. There is a race for every athlete and fitness goal. The Tulsa Run features three distances: a 2K, 5K and a 15k. Runners often opt to participate in the ‘Doubler’ by racing the 5K and 15K events back-to-back.


Course

From the start at East 3rd Street and South Main Street, the 15K course winds through

and past some of Tulsa’s favorite landmarks and neighborhoods including the Deco District, Riverview, Riverside, the Gathering Place and Woodward Park with an iconic finish at East 3rd Street and South Boston Avenue. The 5K course heads south on Boulder to Riverside and return back an iconic finish at East 3rd Street and South Boston Avenue.
